Covid-19 Policies and Procedures
effective 3.2.2022

STAY AT HOME GUIDELINES

Stay at home if:

• You are sick or have ANY of the following Symptoms of COVID-19: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea.

• You have been directed to self-isolate or quarantine. Please follow the Saratoga County Guidelines for Isolation and Quarantine.

• You are awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test.

MASKS
OPTIONAL

Per recommendations of the Saratoga County Department of Health, face masks are optional at this time for all students, parents, faculty, and guests. We ask everyone to be courteous and respectful of each individual's decision to wear or not wear a mask. Mask policies are subject to change at any time.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

Social distancing will be maintained while inside the school building in accordance with the current CDC recommendations.

TEMPERATURE CHECKS

We ask all students, parents, faculty, and guests to pass a self-administered temperature check each day upon entering the school. Temperature scanners are installed in the hall near the main entrance. Any individual with a temperature equal to or greater than 100.4 degrees F should leave the building immediately after scanning.

HAND WASHING & SANITIZING

All are encouraged to wash their hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after using the restroom, before eating/drinking, and after blowing noses, coughing or sneezing. Hand sanitizer will be widely available in the school.

MUSIC CLASSES

Musical activities will follow COVID-19 guidelines as issued by the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) and the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS). 

CLEANING PROTOCOLS

SPAC will use enhanced cleaning protocols in accordance with all standard CDC

recommendations including daily cleaning of all rehearsal studios, restrooms, and common areas and wiping down of high-touch surfaces in between classes.
